Eddie Jones died following a long illness at 6:20 a.m. on Friday, May 10, 2013, at his home.
Eddie was born on Jan. 29, 1947, in Harrisburg, Pa., to the late Albert Lee and Helen Jamison Jones.
Eddie attended Rockcastle United Methodist Church. He was a retired flight engineer for the Tennessee Air National Guard. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and the Tennessee Air National Guard. He was a member of the VFW, American Legion and served on the board for the Trigg/Lyon Volunteer Fire Department.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Albert Leroy Jones and his sister Wanda Skinner.
Eddie is survived by his wife of 41 years, Sheila Jones of Cadiz; two brothers, Ron Jones (and wife Debbie) of West Palm Beach, Fla., and David Jones (and wife Kathy) of Clarksville, Tenn.; one sister, Billy and Dausie Parrish of Nebo; one son, Paul Edward Jones (and wife Amanda Rae) of Madisonville; and two grandchildren, Kohl Ryan Jones and Jonathan Paul Jones, both of Madisonville.
Serving as pallbearers were Ron Jones, David Jones, Chris Skinner, Kevin Williams, John Garrett and Paul Jones. Music was provided by Cindy Dunn, pianist.
