Father Mike Williams officiated at the services. No burial, cremation was chosen.
Mrs. Tyler died on Friday, May 19, 2006, at 1:55 p.m., at Jennie Stuart Hospital in Hopkinsville of natural causes.
Mrs. Tyler was born on August 10, 1924, in Princeton, Ind. She was the daughter of the late Leo and Dorothea Dilman Barfield.
Mrs. Tyler helped build airplanes during WWII for Republic Aviation; was a member of Rockcastle Homemakers, R.S.V.P., Red Cross, and St. Stephen’s Ladies Guild; and was a member of St. Stephen’s Catholic Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Batie Hendry; four brothers, Leo Barfield, Joseph Barfield, Kenneth Barfield, and Robert Barfield; and two sisters, Leona Halyard and Thelma Roberson.
Survivors include her husband, Ken Tyler of Cadiz; a son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Carlene Hendry of Scottsdale, Ariz.; three daughters and sons-in-law, Phyllis and Terry Tunks of Evansville, Ind., Julie and Rick Mayo of Poseyville, Ind., and Diane and Randy Folz of Evansville, Ind.; a brother, Donald Barfield of Evansville, Ind.; nine grandchildren, Jeff Hendry, Aaron Hendry, Adam Hendry, Tammy Kenyon, Joey Folz, Jennie Folz, Jamie Mayo, Eric Mayo, and Tiffany Oldham; and seven great-grandchildren.
