Rev. Bob Kelly officiated at the services. Burial followed at East End Cemetery.
Mrs. Smith died on Saturday, May 16, 2009, at 5:50 p.m. at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah, of natural causes.
Mrs. Smith was born on Friday, January 7, 1927, in Eddyville, Ky. She was the daughter of the late Cleland and Lillian Grace Holland Smith.
Mrs. Smith was a homemaker and of the Baptist Faith.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Earl Smith, two brothers, and two sisters.
Survivors include, one son and daughter-in-law, Billy and Hays Smith, of Paducah, one daughter and son-in-law, Edna and Jerry Swift, of Decatur, Ill., four grandchildren, six great grandchildren, one brother, Durell Smith, of Hendersonville, Tenn., and one sister, Buena Vogel, of Guthrie, Ky.
Martha Fortner, pianist provided the music.
