Funeral services for Ethelene Vinson Crenshaw, 74, of Cadiz, were conducted on Saturday, October 21, 2006, at 12 noon, at Gamble Funeral Home in Hopkinsville.

Rev. Alfred Reid officiated at the Services. Burial followed in Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Cadiz.

Mrs. Crenshaw died on Saturday, October 14, 2006, at her daughter’s residence in Nashville, Tenn.

Mrs. Crenshaw was born on January 1, 1932, in Cadiz. She was the daughter of the late Elliott, Sr., and Gracie Taylor Vinson.

Mrs. Crenshaw was a retired Teacher, having worked at P.S. #67 in Indianapolis, Ind.; member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority; Indianapolis Black Alumni Council; Tenn. State Univ. Alumni Assoc.; Jewell’s Gems; Key Women of America Appointed Secretary; Homemakers Club of Cadiz; Mission Circle 5; and on the Advisory Board of Pennyroyal Mental Health Center.

Survivors include her husband, Charles Josh Crenshaw of Cadiz; three brothers, Walter George Vinson and Rev. Elliott Vinson, Jr., both of Cadiz, and Raymond Howard Vinson of Ironton, Ohio; a daughter, Sheila Crenshaw of Nashville, Tenn.; and a sister, Ruth Vinson McFarland of Cadiz.
