Funeral services for Etna Dean Fennell, 87, of Hopkinsville, formerly of Trigg County, were conducted on Monday, January 16, 2006, at 10 a.m., at Lamb Funeral Home.

Rev. Kim Combs officiated at the services. Burial followed in Green Hill Memorial Gardens in Hopkinsville.

Mrs. Fennell died on Wednesday, January 11, 2006, at 5:05 p.m., at Jennie Stuart Medical Center.

Mrs. Fennell was born on September 5, 1918, in Golden Pond, Ky. She was the daughter of the late Arthur and Gertrude Luton Wallace.

Mrs. Fennell was a homemaker; a member of the Locust Grove Homemakers; and a member of Locust Grove Baptist Church in Hopkinsville.

In addition to her parents, her husband, Ellis Fennell, a son, Wallace F. Fennell, six brothers, Conley Wallace, Clyde Wallace, Lew Wallace, Joe Wallace, Howard Wallace, and Arthur Wallace, and a sister, Virginia Riggins, preceded her in death.

Survivors include a son, Hal Fennell of Cadiz; a daughter, Judy Fennell Hicks of Leesburg, Fla.; a brother, Jesse Wallace of Chico, Calif.; a sister, Mary J. Turner of Murray; and a number of other relatives.
