Floella “Flo” Guier Carr, 83, of Hopkinsville, formerly of Newstead, died Saturday at Covington’s Convalescent Center in Hopkinsville.

Mrs. Carr was a homemaker, had worked with her husband on the family farm in Newstead, was a member of South Union Baptist Church in Trigg County and served as a church pianist.

Surviving are her husband, Garnett Carr; one daughter, Faye Hill of Hopkinsville; four sisters, Dean Carr of Cadiz, Jean Ferguson of Johnstown, Ohio, Mary Hunt of Florida and Virginia Underwood of Hopkinsville; and two brothers, Leslie Guier of Bowling Green and Troy Guier of Hopkinsville.

She was preceded in death by one brother. Her parents were Forrest Isum Guier and Lucy Wilmoth Francis Guier.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Goodwin Funeral Home in Cadiz with the Revs. Irvin Darnall and Eugene Powell officiating. Burial will be at Carr Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 until 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
