Beverly Lewis, the health education coordinator for PDHD, said in a press release that flu shots would be administered at the building from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and that shots would cost $20. She said the department has received all the vaccines that were ordered for this year’s flu season and that the shots would be given on a first-come-first-serve basis. The clinic is only for people 19 and older. Lewis wrote that those 18 and younger should have their parents call their local health department to schedule an appointment. She added, though, that a doctor’s order is not required this year for those 18 and younger.
Lewis also wrote in the press release about the dangers the flu can pose.
