Former Trigg golfers play in college postseason events

A pair of former Trigg County High School golfers recently adanced into the postseason at their respective schools – Bradley Sutherland with Transylvania University and Tyler Mitchell with the University of Charlotte.

Sutherland tied for 69th at the D-III Golf Championship at Port St. Lucie, Fla. on Saturday. Transy finished 15th out of 25 teams at the event.

Sutherland was named a Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar and was chosen as part of the PING Great Lakes All-Region Team.

Mitchell played in the NCAA Regionals at the Red Tail Golf Club in Sorrento, Fla. and finished tied for 49th. Charlotte tied for seventh out of 14 teams at the regional and was eliminated from the postseason.
