Funeral services for Frances Hancock, 86, of Kuttawa, were held Friday, April 29, 2011 at Goodwin Funeral Home in Cadiz. The Rev. Steve McVay officiated. Burial followed at Trigg Memory Acres in Cadiz. Goodwin Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Hancock died of natural causes at 2:05 a.m. Sunday, April 24, 2011 at Oakview Nursing & Rehab in Calvert City.

She was born September 21, 1924 in Christian County to the late Samuel L. Grace and Annie Johnson Grace Wells.

She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband John Thomas Hancock; two brothers, Franklin Grace and J. W. Grace; and one sister, Lilian Young.

She is survived by two brothers, Charles Wells of Evansville, Ind. and Samuel Grace of St. Louis, Mo.; one sister, Ola Pike of Evansville, Ind.; one daughter, Pat Ashley (and husband Bobby) of Kuttawa; one son, Tommie Hancock (and wife Mengie) of San Diego, Calif.; six grandchildren, Kimberly and David Clapp, Richard and Tami Hancock, and Tony and Vanessa Hancock; and three great grandchildren, Kinley Clapp, Anthony Hancock and Christian Hancock.

Pallbearers were Tony Hancock, Richard Hancock, Nick Edmonds, David Hardy, Milburn Hardy and David Clapp.
