The Rev. Russell died at 7:15 p.m. Friday, Dec. 11 in Hopkins County after an automobile accident.
He was born November 1, 1954 to the late Raymond Russell and Magdulene M. Russell. He was a welder at Johnson Control in Cadiz, a graduate of Christian County High School and Hopkinsville College of the Bible, a member of Rocky Ridge Baptist Church and district missionary of minister and deacon’s dept. and secretary of the Little River & Cumberland Valley Association.
Survivors include his wife, Estella Vernee Boyd Russell; one daughter, LaTrita Russell of Cadiz; three sons, the Rev. Derrick (Leigha) Russell of Houston, Texas, the Rev. Demetrius (Miriam) Russell of Berea and Frank Orlando (Illyssa) Russell of Williamsburg; six brothers, George (Marjorie) Mack of Cadiz; Thomas Braxton, Jr., Allen (Vina) Russell, Larry (Linda) Russell and Raymond Russell, all of Hopkinsville; and Richard (Norma) Braxton of Gracey; two sisters, Teresa Russell and Pauline Morrison of Cadiz; mother-in-law Virginia Wharton; six aunts, three uncles, seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
