The Rev. Robert Boyd officiated at the services. Burial followed in the Rocky Ridge Church Cemetery.
Mr. Gude died at 10:30 p.m. Monday, July 13, 2009 at his residence of natural causes.
Mr. Gude was born March 27, 1944 in Trigg County. He was the son of the late Julian and Hewell Irvin Gude.
Mr. Gude was a Custodial supervisor at Murray State University. He was a member of the Rocky Ridge Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Fredrick Gude.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Grubbs Gude, three daughters, Pamela and Ronnie Triplet of Cadiz, Shalonda and Scottie Nance of Cadiz, and Francene Gude of Cadiz; two sons, Anthony and Margaret Gude of Milwakee, Wis. and Derrick Gude of Cadiz; thirteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Bertha and Calvin Faulkner of Hopkinsville and Lisa and Tyrone Brommer of Memphis, Tenn.; two brothers, Julian and Ellen Gude of Ashback, Germany and Richard and Marsha Gude of Matton, Ill.
