Funeral services for Frank Simon, 90, of Cadiz, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at King’s Funeral Home in Cadiz.

The Rev. Mike Jones, Paxton Redd, Greg McNichols, M.O. Fort and Lloyd Tucker will officiate. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Simon died after a long illness at 8:05 a.m. Friday, June 18, 2010 at Princeton Health and Rehab in Princeton.

Mr. Simon was born February 18, 1920 in new York City, N.Y. He was the son of the late Max and Sarah Marcman Simon.

Mr. Simon was the owner and operator of several businesses. He graduated from New York University with a Bachelor of Economics Degree. He served as Potentate of the Rizpah Temple in 1992, was a member of the Scottish Rite, ROJ, Cadiz Masonic Lodge #121, 32nd degree Mason, Cadiz Lions Club, served as Past President of AARP and was a past member of the Cadiz Rotary Club. He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, William Gaddis, and one brother, Raymond Simon.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Marge Simon of Cadiz; one son, Terry Lee Gaddis of Greenville, S.C.; nine daughters, Deborah and John King of Elco, Nev., Francine and Donald Stubbs of Cadiz, Natalie and Tom Cash of Naples, Fla., Gwendalyn and William Farrell of Milford, Conn., Robin Tarkhan of Milford, Conn., Margaret and Frank Campbell of Stanford, Ill., Jodi and Brock Brocklaveld of Las Vegas, Nev., Jackie Simon-Barton and Mike of Spring Hill, Fla., and Beth Simon-Wetzel and Mike and Decatur, Ill.; brother and sister-in-law Dr. Murray and Juana Simon of Columbia, Md.; two sisters and brother-in-law, Bess Simon of Manhattan, N.Y., and Bea and Jerry Schechter of Manhattan, N.Y.; 15 grandchildren, Aaron and Ryan Acree, Kala and Kayanna King, Shantel, Natasha, Malissa, Frankie, TJ, Kristi, Michael, Bradley, Joseph, Shane and Daniel, and 20 great grandchildren.

Serving, as pallbearers will be Floyd Harper, Kenny Thurman, John Paul Thurman, Robert Powell, Darryl Lynch, Gordon Mitchell and Michael Wayne Dillard.

Honorary pallbearers will be Stan Flood, Bruce Thomas, Joe Oakley, Ed Headley, RJ Early, Dennis Adams, Bill Love, Tom Black and Joe Winn, Sr.

Mark Harris, vocalist, Kala King, vocalist, Renee Fort, vocalist, and Jan Oakley, pianist, will provide the music.
