Kentucky State Police officials had few details about an injury accident on May 2, when asked for information by the Cadiz Record on Monday.

KSP Post 1 Public Affairs Officer Trooper Dean Patterson said that the one-vehicle wreck, which happened around 11:15-11:30 on Friday, left the driver, and sole occupant of the vehicle injured. He gave the driver’s last name, a woman from Kuttawa as “Ireland,” but said that paperwork did not indicate her first name or age. He said that EMS personnel transported her to the Caldwell County Emergency Room.

At the scene, it appeared that the victim’s green Buick ran off the road and collided with a tree in a turning median. Wreckage of the vehicle remained lodged in the tree, while the car came to rest about a hundred feet beyond the trunk, now stripped of bark.
