Mr. Kurfiss died on Saturday, April 18, 2009, at 3 p.m. at Pembroke Nursing Home in Pembroke, of natural causes.
Mr. Kurfiss was born on Monday, July 12, 1948, in Columbus, OH. He was the son of the late Donald and Doris Bilingsley Kurfiss.
Mr. Kurfiss was a US Army veteran where he served two yours during the Vietnam Conflict. He was of the Baptist Faith and was retired from the Marion County Landfill in Ocala, FL.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Karen Kay Wilkin Kurfiss.
Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Earl Compton, of Cadiz, two sons, Brian Kurfiss, of Florida, and Donnie Kurfiss, of Cadiz, one brother, Stephen Kurfiss, of Columbus, OH, one sister, Sandra Travis, of Anthony, FL, and eight grandchildren.
