Funeral services for George Pociask, 81, of Cadiz, were conducted on Thursday, August 17, 2006, at 11 a.m., at Goodwin Funeral Home.

Rev. Sam Beeny officiated at the services. Burial followed in Trigg Memory Acres in Cadiz, with Military Honors provided by the American Legion.

Mr. Pociask died on Sunday, August 13, 2006, at 6:30 p.m., at Regional Medical Center in Madisonville of natural causes.

Mr. Pociask was born on March 12, 1925, in Wausaukee, Wis. He was the son of the late John and Mary Gruba Pociask.

Mr. Pociask was a retired mechanic; was a U.S. Army Veteran, having served in WWII.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Alex Pociask, Joe Pociask, Eddie Pociask, and Peter Pociask; and three sisters, Janice Taylor, Julia, Saunders, and Leona Frontzak.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Sheila and Mark Reimer of Cadiz; and a sister, Josephine Pociask of Chicago, Ill.

Pam Witty, organist, provided the music.

Serving as pallbearers were Mark Reimer, Les Hancock, Andy Hodges, David Noschese, Richard Noschese, and Tim Hancock.
