Oliver’s grandmother, Kathy Boren, said that she and her granddaughter were spending some time at the Blue Springs boat ramp on Mother’s Day when the incident occurred. Oliver said she got tired of fishing and waded to the edge of the ramp. She said a two-year-old girl who she had never seen before was walking ahead of her when she slipped on some moss.
“I knew she was going to slip,” Oliver said.
