James Green of Mortons Gap, and the former Bessie Lou Scott of Madisonville were married on November 14, 1945, at Hopkinsville. Judge E. Higgins performed the ceremony.
The couple had four children, Phyllis Gale, born on November 15, and died on November 19, 1947; Shernell Rae Green and husband Panuel Lowry; Scott Thomas and wife Donna Green; and Evelyn Kay Green and husband Gregrey Alan Jones.
The couple requests no gifts; however, if you would like, a donation to the Gideon Organization or a charity of your choice in honor of the couple would be appreciated.
