Rev. Roger Lee Felker officiated at the services. Burial followed in East Cadiz Baptist Church Cemetery in Cadiz.
Mrs. Stewart died on Tuesday, November 25, 2008, at 12:20 a.m., at the Christian Care Communities in Hopkinsville of natural causes.
Mrs. Stewart was born on February 25, 1921, in Hopkins County. She was the daughter of the late Clev and Ethel Chapel Stallins.
Mrs. Stewart was the retired owner and operator of Bea’s Beauty Shop in Dawson Springs; was a member of the Hopkinsville Country Club; and was a member of the Hillcrest Baptist Church in Hopkinsville.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Urey Stewart; two brothers, Ronald Stallins and J.C. Stallins; and two sisters, Beatrice Bedwell and Orean Covington.
Survivors include a son, Jeffery William Stewart of Hopkinsville; a sister, Gertrude Haupt of Dawson Springs; two grandchildren, Amy Coleman of Cadiz and Tonya Oakley of Hopkinsville; and three great-grandchildren, Amelia Grace Coleman and Gavin Gray Coleman, both of Cadiz, and Olivia Ann Oakley of Hopkinsville.
Rita Stewart, organist/vocalist and Russ Stallons, guitarist/vocalist, provided the music.
Serving as pallbearers were Casey Oakley, Matt Sholar, John Oliphant, Jimmy McAtee, David Haupt, Bill Haupt, Melvin Cook, and Donald Stevens.
