The headquarters for Grow Trigg, the organization that has the stated goal of ending alcohol prohibition in Trigg County, opened its headquarters on 52 Main Street in downtown Cadiz at 7 a.m. Saturday.

Grow Trigg Chairman Ken Culwell said the headquarters was open from 5-7 p.m. during the Cadiz Cruise-In on Saturday, and will be open Wednesdays-Fridays, 3-6 p.m., and will also be open from 7 a.m.- noon on Saturdays. Culwell added the headquarters will be expanding its hours in September.

Grow Trigg Member Linda Humbert said the new office, rented to the organization by owner Kendall Birdsong, will be open until after the election, at least until Thursday, Oct. 1, and if the vote goes in Grow Trigg’s favor, they may stay in the office for another month past the election.

The headquarters will provide information regarding the upcoming special election regarding alcohol on Tuesday, Sept. 29, and will also provide voter registration forms, signs and sign-up sheets for people who need a ride to the polls, Culwell said.

Also available at the headquarters are a list of polling places and absentee ballot information, and residents are also able to make donations to the organization and volunteer to assist with the organization’s efforts, said Culwell.

“We hope the residents of Trigg County will take a few minutes to stop in and talk about the economy, the future of Trigg County, the potential for new business here, and most importantly, more jobs for our children, our neighbors and our friends,” Culwell said.
