Revs. Eugene Powell and Terry Mitcheson officiated at services. Burial followed in Trigg Memory Acres, in Cadiz.
Mrs. Bryant died on Friday, August 31, 2007, at 3:16 p.m. at Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville of natural causes.
Mrs. Bryant was born on Tuesday, April 30, 1918, in Trigg County. She was the daughter of the late Samuel and Lydia (Hargis) Wallace.
Mrs. Bryant was a cook and co-owner of the Former Pete Light Springs Restaurant and also taught grade school for 9 years in the Trigg County Community. She was a member of South Union Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, John L. “Dick” Bryant, three brothers, Clarence Wallace, Owen Wallace, Leon Wallace and two sisters Charlene Downs, and Marvee Wallace.
Survivors include one son and daughter in law, Freddie and Millie Bryant, of Cadiz, one step daughter, Robbie Nell Edmonds, of Aurora, KY, one brother, David Wallace, of Desoto, MO, three grandchildren, Fredia Lawrence, David Bryant, and John Bryant, nine great grandchildren, Will Lawrence, Derrick Lawrence, Amanda Lawrence, Bailey Bryant, Matthew Bryant, Anna Bryant, Brady Bryant, Kara Bryant, Hanna Jordan, two step grandchildren, Penny Nestlehutt, Jill Reynolds, six step great grandchildren, Will Aken, Jenny Aken, Toby Nestlehutt, Justin Reynolds, Kami Reynolds, Jake Reynolds and one step great great grandchild, Lando Aken.
Serving as pallbearers were David Bryant, John Bryant, Will Lawrence, Derrick Lawrence, Jeff Bryant, and Jimmy Bryant.
Southern Traditions vocalist, and Johnie Taylor, pianist provided the music.
