A private burial for Hazel Savannah Rieber, 92, of Sedalia, Mo., formerly of St. Charles, Mo., and Cadiz, was held in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, Mo. McLaughlin Funeral Chapel of Sedalia, Mo., was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Rieber died Monday, August 30, 2010 at Bothwell Regional Health Center.

Mrs. Rieber was born August 19, 1918, in Don-aldsonville, Ga., a daughter of Turner L. and Mattie E. Alday Keenum. On May 10, 1947, she was married to Francis Henry Rieber, who survives.

Mrs. Rieber was a homemaker and a Catholic. She was a past Skipper of the US Power Squadron Helmates, a staff officer of the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary, a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary Post 7890 in Cadiz and a member of the Trigg County Quilters Guild, Murray Quilt Club and American Quilt Society.

She is also survived by a daughter, Patricia Rumph and husband Eben of Charleston, S.C.; a son, Raymond Webb and wife Marie of Sedalia, Mo.; four grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, 10 step great-grandchildren, nine great-great-grandchildren, three sisters-in-law, and 21 nieces and nephews.
