Henry Douglas Bacon, 74, of Ironton, died Saturday, September 1, 2007, at his residence. He was born January 1, 1933, in Cadiz, KY. He was the son of the late Charles Douglas and Allie J. Thomas Bacon. He was a retired employee of Dayton Malleable Iron Co. and owned and operated Bacon’s Barbeque. He was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Louise Story; two brothers, Ben Bacon and James Bacon; and a daughter, Carlinda Bacon.

He is survived by six sons, Henry Douglas Bacon Jr., of Fort Hood Texas, Samuel Lewis Bacon, of Columbus, Ohio, Allen Douglas Bacon, of Silver Springs, MD, Charles R. Bacon, of South Point, Burton Leander Bacon, of Portsmouth, VA, and Joseph Young, of Ironton; a daughter, Eleanor Bacon, of South Point; twelve grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; four brothers, Harvey Bacon, Ed Bacon, Clyde Bacon and Jerry Bacon, all of Indianapolis, IN; six sisters, Ivory Adams, Peggy Thomas, Virginia Bacon and Mary Penn, all of Indianapolis, Rebecca Manning, of Cadiz, KY and Lou Williams of Rochester, NY.
