Funeral services for Henry Patrick “Pat” Hardin, 47, of Elizabethtown, formerly of Hopkinsville, were conducted on Tuesday, January 17, 2006, at the Memorial United Methodist Church.

Rev. Todd Benner officiated at the services. Burial followed in Riverside Cemetery in Hopkinsville.

Brown Funeral Home was in charge of all the arrangements.

Mr. Hardin died on Friday, January 13, 2006, at Norton Hospital in Louisville of natural causes.

Mr. Hardin was a native of Christian County. He was the son of John O. Hardin, III, of Cadiz, and the late Louise Patrick Hardin.

He was a member of Memorial United Methodist Church, but while living in Hopkinsville he was a member of St. John United Methodist Church. He retired in 2004 following 19 years as a bank examiner for the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp.

In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife, Laura Baker Hardin; his step-mother, Brenda Hardin of Cadiz; a son, Ben Hardin of Elizabethtown; a brother, John O. Hardin, IV, of Settle, Wash.; and two sisters, Cheri McKechnie and Angela Hattaway of Huntsville, Ala.

Memorials may be made to the Kentucky Wesleyan Foundation, Operation Shoe Box, or to the American Heart Association.
