Mr. Calhoun passed away Sunday, January 30, 2011, at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah following a long illness. He was born September 29, 1930 in Trigg County, the son of the late Fay Wallace and Pearl Ora Cooper Calhoun.
He was a member of Liberty Point Baptist Church. He was a retired plumber and electrician.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Jean Burnam Calhoun of Cadiz; brother and sister-in-law John W. and Dolores Calhoun of Christian County, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother Wallace Calhoun and sister Sara McCullough.
Active pallbearers will be John Bill Calhoun, Dwayne Calhoun, Ray Burnam, II, Mark Burnam, Robert Lee McCullough, Jr., Alex Keys, Stephen Humphries and James Cook. Honorary pallbearers will be Thomas Broadbent, Matt Smith, Luke Humphries, Landon Mackey, Tyler Burnam, Jacob Burnam, Jonathan Cowherd, Scott Cowherd and Josh Cook.
Music will be provided by Freddie and Teresa Smith, instrumentalists, and Liberty Point Baptist Church Choir.
