Mr. Morris died following a long illness at 9:10 a.m. Sunday, November 21, 2010 at the Princeton Health and Rehab Center.
He was born November 16, 1927 in Trigg County to the late Marvin Rudolph Morris and Elizabeth Holmes Morris.
He was a retired farmer, autoworker and was employed by Bud for 22 years in Gary, Ind. He was a charter member of the Midway Missionary Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by one brother, George “Bud” Morris and one grandson, Jeff Olesh.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon Popp Morris of Princeton; two brothers, Carrol Morris of Princeton and Harold Morris of Caldwell County; one sister, Ann Crocker Barnwell of Princeton; three sons, Eddie Morris (and wife Vee) of Woodridge, Ill., Dale Morris (and wife Marsha) of Caldwell County and David Morris (and wife Leigh Ann) of Princeton; one daughter, Becky Olesh (and husband Joe) of Chesterton, Ind.; three step daughters, Lynda Sleeter (and husband Don) of Morristown, Tenn., Sharlene Rowland (and husband Richard) of Caldwell County and Kerry Vinson (and husband Raymon) of Fredonia; four step grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Josh Morris, Aaron Michael Vinson, Mark Cravens, Steve Ladd, Raymon Vinson and Richard Rowland.
