Funeral services for Hobert A. Trimble, 73, of Cadiz, were conducted on Saturday, January 6, 2007, at 2 p.m., at Goodwin Funeral Home.

Rev. Lindsey Boren officiated at the services. Burial followed in New Jerusalem Cemetery in Trigg County.

Mr. Trimble died on Wednesday, January 3, 2007, at 12:15 p.m., at his residence in Cadiz of natural causes.

Mr. Trimble was born on September 18, 1933, in Cleaton, Ky. He was the son of the late Hermus Alex and Myrtie Brackett Trimble.

Mr. Trimble was retired from Earl Clement Job Corp., with 20 years of service; was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served in the Korean Conflict; and was a member of New Light Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Joe Trimble; a daughter, Connie Trimble; three sisters, Grace Kimmel, Lela Swensk, and Edna Crawford; and three brothers, Charles Trimble, Murrell Trimble, and Arnold Trimble.

Survivors include his wife, Lorene Bellman Trimble of Cadiz; two sons, John Trimble and Jimmy Trimble, both of Dayton, Ohio; two daughters, Jeannie Disney and Judy McCullah, both of Dayton; a step-son, Keith Leeper of Dayton; two sisters, Lequitta Tilley of Dayton, and Eunice Mutter of Abingdon, Va.; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Faith Mitchell, vocalist and pianist, provided the music.

Serving as pallbearers were John Trimble, Adam Trimble, Paul Barrett, Dougie Mutter, Jerrod Chambers, Jeff Chambers, and Nick Stapelton.

Honorary pallbearers were Matthew Leeper, Zach Leeper, Ronnie Adams, and Jerry Wayne Chambers.
