Bonnie Fred Hodges and Mary Grace Wyatt celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary Oct. 24, 2010, at Grace Point Club House in Moore, Okla. The bride is the daughter of Elmo and Gracie Green Wyatt of Cadiz. She is also the step daughter to Louie Hancock Wyatt.

The couple was married October 21, 1950 in Springfield, Tenn. Attendants were Ethel and Sarah Wyatt, Wandean Wyatt Joiner and Ruth Campbell Hensley.

Fred was stationed at Ft. Campbell with the 11th Airborne Division. In September 1951 Fred was sent to Korea for one year. While on active duty in the Navy, Fred served in World War II. After Fred returned home he and Mary were stationed in Ft. Rucker , Ala. They spent two years there then, after eight and a half years they decided to leave the service.

The couple relocated to Ardmore, Okla., where Fred owned and operated a barbershop. Mary worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. In 1977 they moved to Moore, Okla., where Fred went to work for Central Data Corporation and Mary worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone. Mary retired in 1984 with 29 years of service while Fred retired in 1992.

The couple has two daughters, Bonita Smith (and husband Steve) and Beth Loughmiller (and husband Dan); five grandchildren; one great granddaughter and one great granddaughter in law.
