Casey Jo Hooks and Joshua Robert Frederick, both of Cadiz, were united in marriage at 3 p.m. on Saturday, September 9, 2006, in an outdoor ceremony at Oakland Manor.

The bride is the daughter of Larry and Sharon Hooks of Cadiz. She is the granddaughter of Mary Dell Light and the late Robert B. Light and Virginia Hooks and the late Billy Joe Hooks.

The bridegroom is the son of Tammy and Stacey Sholar of Cadiz, and Steve Frederick of Clarksville. He is the grandson of Robert and Barbara McIntosh and Hulett and Linda Webster and the late Robert Frederick.

Bro. Robert McIntosh, the bridegroom’s grandfather and Bro. Roy Marquess, Jr. the bride’s cousin officiated the ceremony. The bridegroom’s uncle, Rob McIntosh, provided nuptial music. Dana Anderson the bride’s sister, sang “A Moment Like This”. Jennifer Frederick, the groom’s sister, sang, “That’s More than Everything”.

The bride given in marriage by her parents, was escorted down the aisle by her father. The bride chose her sister, Dana Anderson, as her matron of honor, and Leamber Shea Light, her cousin, as her maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Jennifer Frederick and Emily Frederick, the groom’s sisters, and Rebecca Heid and Margie Pyle. The flower girl was Leandra Meredith, daughter of Scott and Stephanie Meredith, of Cadiz. Tabitha Stagner, of Hopkinsville, kept the guest register and was program attendant.

The bridegroom chose his father, Steve Frederick, of Clarksville to be his best man. Groomsmen were Kyle Hooks, brother of the bride, Robert Sholar, brother of the groom, Corey Greenman, Dane Bolton and Scott Carlton. Michael Anderson, brother-in-law of the bride, and Dustin Light, the bride’s cousin, served as the ushers. Serving as the ring bearer was Brayden Frederick, nephew of the bridegroom.

Photographers for the ceremony were Willis Adkins of Starry Skies Studio and Jerry Hooks, Jr. cousin of the bride.

The reception was held at Oakland Manor and was hosted by the bride’s parents. Servers were Stephanie Light, the bride’s cousin-in-law, and Kimberly Fortner, both of Cadiz and Rachel Jenkins of Hopkinsville.

Prenuptial events included a bridal shower given by members of Parkway Missionary Baptist Church of Hopkinsville, at Oakland Manor, hosted by Sue, Kelley and Tabitha Stagner. A bridal Shower was given by Sylvia P’Pool and Judy King. A bridesmaid luncheon and shower was given by Janet Tucker at Oakland Manor. A shower was hosted by Leandra Meredith at the home of Donna Bryan. A bridal shower was also hosted at Oakland Manor by Margie Pyle. A pantry shower was hosted by Patty Bridges.

The rehearsal dinner was hosted by Tammy and Stacey Sholar and Steve Frederick at Oakland Manor.

Following a wedding trip to Destin Florida, the couple will reside in Cadiz.
