On Saturday, May 14, 2005, at 6 p.m., Jaclyn Hopkins and Denver Travis were united in marriage during a 2-hour cruise on Lake Barkley and Kentucky Lake on board the Belle of Grand Rivers leaving from Green Turtle Bay.

The ceremony was performed by Judge Executive Mike Miller at Nickel Branch on Lake Barkley with the bride and groom presenting their own vows to each other.

The bride is the daughter of Larry and Nancy Hill of Benton.

The groom is the son of Ken and Helen Travis of Cadiz.

The bride chose Margaret Harper of Cadiz as her Maid of Honor. Lori King of Benton served as bridesmaid.

The groom chose Beau Reynolds of Cadiz to serve as his Best Man. Neil Gibbs of Louisville served as groomsman.

The bride was given in marriage by her mother and grandfather, Tom

Clark.

The bride and bridesmaids wore special headbands made of wire and beads that matched the beads that covered the brides dress, made by a special friend of the bride and groom.

Special music was provided by Wayne Harper.

A reception followed the wedding at 8 p.m., at the Grand Rivers Conference Hall. Servers were Beverly Thompson and Lori King, both of Benton.

The bride is a 1998 graduate of Murray High School, and a 2004 summa cum laude graduate of the University of Kentucky, and will enter graduate school in the fall of 2006 in California.

The groom was the 1995 Valedictorian of Trigg County High School and earned a BS degree in Chemical Engineering, a MS degree in Economics, and a PhD in finance from the University of Kentucky, and is presently a Professor at California State University.

Following a honeymoon to Merida, Mexico, the couple is residing in Sacramento, Calif.
