According to a statement made to the Hopkinsville Police by reporting witness Amanda Fincham, “The suspect entered the bank and presented a note to the reporting party demanding money. The note stated that the suspect had a gun. After receiving the money from the reporting party, the suspect fled west toward Marietta Drive.”
The unidentified suspect was described in the police report as a male of African-American heritage, between the ages of 30 and 40. He was approximately six feet in height, and weighed an estimated 180 pounds. The report adds he was of medium build, with brown eyes and short, brown hair of an unknown style. He possibly had facial hair and was of dark complexion. The description lists glasses, scars/marks/tattoos and teeth as unknown. The suspect was described as wearing long khaki pants, a black and white shirt, blue windbreaker with white trim, and a khaki cap.
The firearm mentioned in the robbery demand was never brandished for witnesses to see.
