Donna McNichols, the executive director of the Housing Authority of Cadiz, and her staff were named the Outstanding Kentucky Community Partner during an awards luncheon last Monday in Frankfort.

McNichols and her staff received the honor on Monday from the Kentucky Out of School Alliance for their work with the Terrific Tuesdays Program at the Housing Authority.

At the luncheon, McNichols credited Trigg County Community Education Director Brenda Southwick and Housing Authority Staff Member Christina Parker for their work with the program.

The youth leadership group at Trigg County High School played a large part with the program, according to McNichols, who added that she was honored by the recognition on Monday, but was glad to have two people with her that played a large role in Terrific Tuesdays.

The Terrific Tuesdays Program helps roughly 40 – 45 kids per week at the Housing Authority of Cadiz, McNichols said.
