“Water appears to be more critical than anything right now,” said Board President Don Leibee.
Cadiz Mayor Lyn Bailey said, “We’ve worked with Barkley Lake Water to increase capacity. The City of Cadiz has hooked into their lines.”
Trigg County Judge/Executive Stan Humphries said, “If we can work together with city and county sources to fill the (American Legion Swimming Pool) I am sure we can work together on this.”
The need for more water and other utilities may hinder the industrial park from attracting business. According to Leibee, the TVA removed the industrial park from a list of prospects due to the lack of water capacity. “Right now we have a four-inch line servicing the area. Unless we have a gigantic need, we should have adequate capacity now.”
