In frontcourt of Jessica Dorsey and Raquel Barlow combined for 31 points and 31 rebounds and helped hold off a late Lady Wildcat rally.
Dorsey, who finished with 21 points and 18 rebounds, scored 11 of Fort Campbell’s 18 points in the fourth quarter.
"We tried to sandwich her but we couldn’t stay on the block. She had several nice moves around the basket. I was impressed with her," Lady Wildcat head coach Amy Breckel said.
Trigg trailed 35-27 just before the end of the third quarter before a Barlow putback gave the Lady Falcons a 10-point lead.
Fort Campbell began the fourth quarter with a 12-4 run, with Dorsey scoring eight points during the stretch.
Down 49-31, Trigg County would get no closer than 14 points.
Poor shooting did in the Lady Wildcats, who missed 26 of 31 first half attempts from the field.
"We’re having trouble putting good games back-to-back right now. We just don’t know who is going to show up and have that good game," Breckel said.
However, Fort Campbell was unable to pull away from Trigg County due to 10 turnovers and 38-percent shooting from the field.
Trigg County trailed 27-13 at halftime but was able to chip into the lead and get it down to eight points a couple of times before Fort Campbell’s run to begin the final frame.
The Lady Wildcats shot 34-percent in the second half and finished the game at just 26-percent (17-of-66) from the field.
Fort Campbell shot 48-percent in the second half and 42-percent (26-of-61) for the game.
The Lady Falcons were dominant on the boards, holding a 50-37 advantage over Trigg County.
Trigg County managed an offensive rebound on just 29-percent of their missed shots, while Fort Campbell had 16 points off put backs.
Laquisha Boyd scored eight of her team-high 15 points in the fourth quarter and added 14 rebounds for the contest.
Felicia Crenshaw added eight points and seven rebounds, while Brandy Blakeley also scored eight points and chipped in with six rebounds.
Trigg County fell to 4-6 overall with the loss, which was their fourth straight to the Lady Falcons. Fort Campbell leads the all-time series 27-20.
Fort Campbell improved to 4-6 with the win.
