Funeral services for J.M. Towler, 86, of Cadiz, will be conducted on Wednesday, February 14, 2007, at 2 p.m., at Goodwin Funeral Home..

Rev. Tim Miller will officiate at the services. Burial will follow in the Daniel Stewart Cemetery in Trigg County.

Mr. Towler died on Sunday, February 11, 2007, at 4 p.m., at Bradford Heights in Hopkinsville of natural causes.

Mr. Towler was born on March 6, 1920, in Trigg County. He was the son of the late Grover Cleveland, Sr., and Kate Bagby Towler.

Mr. Towler was a former co-owner and operator of Towler’s Market for 38 years; was a farmer; was a member of Buffalo Lick Baptist Church; member of Woodmen of the World; and a member of the Cerulean Masonic Lodge #875.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, G.C. Towler, and a sister, Mildred Cumbee.

Survivors include his wife, Susie Campbell Towler of Cadiz; a son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Janet Towler of Cadiz; sister, Pauline Oakley of Cadiz; two grandchildren, Jaime Choate and Matthew Towler; and two great-grandchildren, Lyndsey Choate and Nick Choate.

Serving as pallbearers will be Matthew Towler, Grover Towler, Hal Choate, Gary Lester, Grover Oakley, and Charles Campbell.
