The main event begins at 5 p.m. and costs $100 a couple. Although that might seem steep, Clement said the cost includes a great buffet from Lake Barkley’s kitchen complete with plenty of meats and vegetables. She said most people don’t mind the cost too much because they are supporting a good cause and have a great time dressing up and dancing the night away at the elegant event. The proceeds help the museum pay for matching grants, as well as art classes and renovations to the museum, Clement said.
A silent auction will also take place, she said.
From 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., the Evansville, Ind., group known as the Temple Airs will play big band and swing music, as they have every year since the beginning. Clement said anyone wanting to attend the main event should call the museum at 522-9056 for reservations so they will know how much food to serve.
