Funeral services for Jackie Thompson, 64, of the Lamasco Community, were conducted on Sunday, October 22, 2006, at 2 p.m., at the Lamasco Baptist Church.

Rev. Ronnie Fox, assisted by Rev. Dean Ray, officiated at the services. Burial followed in the Lamasco Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Thompson died on Thursday, October 19, 2006, at 12:59 p.m., at his home following a short illness.

Mr. Thompson was born on July 25, 1942, in Lyon County. He was the son of the late Eugene Douglas “Genie” and Ray Nell Prince Thompson.

Mr. Thompson was a Construction Worker, and was a member of Lamasco Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Frances Murphy Thompson; a brother, Johnny Thompson of Lamasco; two sisters and brother-in-law, Jan and Jerry Glass and Jill Thompson, all of Lamasco; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Ed and Margaret Murphy of Princeton, Bobby and Shirley Murphy of Sylvester, Ga., and Jimmy Murphy of Eddyville; and several nieces and nephews.

Morgan’s Funeral Home in Princeton was in charge of all the arrangements.
