She retired from Heilmann Tool and Manufacturing in 1990. She was a member of Bethlehem United Church of Christ, Professional Society of Women’s Accountants (Past President), and Phi Theta Kappa.
Jackie was an active volunteer for the Muscular Dystrophy Association since 1972. She graduated from Memorial High School and Ivy Tech in Evansville where she received an Associate of Applied Science Degrees in Accounting and Business Administration. She served as President and Treasurer of the Student Government Association at Ivy Tech.
She was preceded in death by her parents and nephew, Thomas Deeg.
Jackie is survived by her husband, Marvin G. Heilmann; sisters, Linda Chapman (Charles) and Donna Fulton (Jerry) of Cadiz; brothers, Larry Eberhard (Karen), Gary Eberhard (Pattie) of Duluth, Ga.; uncle, William Meisler (Evelyn); aunts, Margaret Hopper and Virginia Eberhard of Katy, Texas; nieces; nephews; great-nieces; and great- nephews.
Services were held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 27, 2011 at Bethlehem UCC, 6400 Oak Hill Rd, Evansville, IN 47725, officiated by Rev. Rocky Sheneman with burial at Bethlehem Church Cemetery. Friends may visit Thursday from 2:00 to 8:00 PM at Alexander North Chapel.
