Rev. Gregory Irvin officiated at the services. Burial followed in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West in Hopkinsville.
Mr. Wright died on Friday, August 11, 2006, at 11:03 a.m., at Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville of natural causes.
Mr. Wright was born on February 3, 1927, in Trigg County. He was the son of the late Mordie and Hattie Burke Wright.
Mr. Wright was a former owner/operator of Wright Family Grocery Store; was a cook for Civil Service at Ft. Campbell; and was a member of Virginia Street Baptist Church in Hopkinsville.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Viola Frazier Wright.
Survivors include a son, Eddie Wright of San Diego, Calif.; two daughters, Ora Y. Wright Leavell of Indianapolis, Ind., and Paulette Murray of Paducah; three grandchildren; and a devoted friend, Esther Jackson of Hopkinsville.
