Funeral services for the Rev. James Bush, 79, of Hopkinsville, formerly of Trigg County, were held Saturday, April 17, 2010 at Calvary Memorial Baptist Church in Hopkinsville. The Revs. Glen Sowards and Larry Combs officiated. Interment followed at Trigg Memory Acres in Cadiz. Goodwin Funeral Home of Cadiz was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Bush passed away on Wednesday, April 14, 2010, at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, Tenn.

He was a member of Siloam United Methodist Church and was a retired Methodist minister.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Evelyn (Neeble) Bush of Hopkinsville; two daughters and son-in-law, Vickie (Bush) Greene of Hopkinsville, Patricia (Bush) and JImmy Hurt of Hopkinsville; three grandchildren, Leslie Boor, Natalie Hurt and Brian Hurt; five great-grandchildren, Joshua Boor, Jeremy Boor, Joseph Boor, Hannah Hurt and Noah Hurt.

He was preceded in death by his parents Sam H. and Johnnie L. (Cain) Bush; two sisters, Margie Walden and Geneva Anderson; and son-in-law Thomas Greene, Jr.

Music at the service was provided by Karen Pryor, pianist, and Amanda Ezell, vocalist. Pallbearers were Ed Young, Steve Lachance, JR Irvin, Otis Boor, Jay Smith, Brian Hurt, Joshua Boor and Jeremy Boor.
