Funeral services for James Paul Mullen, 79, of Cadiz, were held Thursday, May 13, 2010 at Goodwin Funeral Home in Cadiz. The Rev. Chester McGehee officiated. Interment followed at Bell’s Chapel Cemetery in Elkton.

Mr. Mullen passed away on Tuesday, May 11, 2010, at Trigg County Hospital in Cadiz.

He was a retired mechanic and of the Baptist faith. He was a US Army Veteran serving in the Korean Conflict.

He is survived by his one daughter, Vivian Riddle of Cadiz; two sons, Monty Mullen of Hopkinsville and James Brandon Mullen of Cadiz; two sisters, Margie McGehee of Greenville and Fannie Bell Cummins of Gautier, Miss.; one brother, Alfred Mullen of Hopkinsville; seven grandchildren, Michael Mullen, Lucas Riddle, Bridgette Mullen, Brandi Mullen, Andrea Rogers, Jennifer Gonzalez and Halen Mullen; nine great-grandchildren, Christopher Calhoun, Dustin Dunn, Sarah Dunn, Haydon Rogers, Haley Rogers, Savannah Riddle, Peyton Riddle, Braden Stroble and Jamison Sumner.

He was preceded in death by father Elvin Mullen, mother Willie Bell (Wheeler) Mullen, son Anthony Mullen, brother Elvin Mullen, Jr. and sister Bobbye Cherry.

Pallbearers were Lucas Riddle, Carl Uher, Chris Calhoun, Gary Riddle, Steve McGehee and Jerry Mullen.
