Rev. John Benton, assisted by Rev. J. Bill Jones, officiated at the services. Burial followed in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Merrick died on Wednesday, February 22, 2006, at 6:50 a.m., in Western Baptist Hospital at Paducah following a short illness.
Mrs. Merrick was born on April 6, 1929, in Lyon County. She was the daughter of the late Martin Sr., and Leona Hamilton Doom.
Mrs. Merrick was a homemaker, and a member of Southside Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Martin Doom, Jr.
Survivors include her husband, Herby Merrick of Princeton; two daughters and sons-in-law, Michele and Rick Pogrotsky of Frankfort, and Monica and Donnie Oliver of Princeton; four grandchildren, Jacob Pogrotsky, Jessica Pogrotsky, Laura Don Oliver, and Will Oliver; a brother, Billy Doom of Hillsboro, Mo.; and a sister, Joy Smith of Belleville, Ill.
