Russell died at 11:40 p.m. on Tuesday, September 15, 2009, at Western State Nursing Facility in Hopkinsville of natural causes.
She was born on Tuesday, December 28, 1920, in Nashville, Tenn., to Chester Ernest Hardy and Mayme (Crane) Hardy.
A Methodist, Mrs. Russell had worked at the Regional Medical Center in Madisonville in the Admissions department and was a member of Linton United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband William R. “Bill” Russell, and her two sisters.
She is survived by her daughters & sons-in-law Patricia & Terry Braboy of Gainesville, Va. and Judy & Arnold Walker of Tampa, Fla., her son W.R. “Bobby” Russell of Seymore, Ind., her grandchildren Terri Young, Karen Simon, Alecia Dothsuk, Patrick Russell, John Paul Wilson, Angie Byrne, Ricky Barker, Sharon Haire and 19 great grandchildren.
