Rev. Samuel T. Mathes officiated at the services. Burial followed in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Hollowell died on Sunday, July 9, 2006, at 5:44 p.m., in the Emergency Room at Caldwell County Hospital following a sudden apparent heart attack.
Mrs. Hollowell was born on October 10, 1927, in Caldwell County. She was the daughter of the late Archie and Florence Scott Harris.
Mrs. Hollowell was a homemaker; she was a member of the Community Homemaker Club for 42 years, with the longest perfect attendance record in Caldwell County; was a member of the Bronze Lilly Club for over 40 years; was on the Dotson Park Board for many years; worked for many people in the county; and she sang for the Princeton Harmonettes for over 20 years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Hollowell in 1986.
Survivors include two sons, Richard Hollowell of Princeton, and Denzel Hollowell of Atlanta, Ga.; a stepdaughter, Jocelyn Elliott of Hopkinsville; a grandson, Demarus Hollowell; a great-granddaughter, Jai Mauriya Cain; two sisters, Rose Harris and Sarah Gray, both of Princeton; and a host of nieces and nephews.
