Mrs. Jones died following a brief illness at 7:57 p.m. Sunday, June 20 at the University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville.
Mrs. Jones was born Thursday, June 22, 1950 in Trigg County. Her parents were Elmer Holland and Virginia Mogene Filney Holland.
She was employed with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet and was of the Methodist faith.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Heather and Jeffrey Brashears of Cerulean and Mindy and Travis Carneyhan of Cerulean; two brothers, Mike Holland of Benton, Ark., and Tony Holland of Cadiz; sister Sharon Stallons of Cadiz; and grandchildren Tierson Carneyhan, Matthew Carneyhan and Sylvia Brashears.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Dewey Jones, and brother Elmer Dean Holland.
Pallbearers were Ronnie Smith, Bobby Joyce, Ronnie Cavanaugh, Aaron Hendon, Billy Summers and Mike Oakley. Honorary pallbearers were coworkers from the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet. Music was provided by Jason Barnes, vocalist.
