Funeral services for The Rev. Jerry D. Raley, 70, of Mayfield, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 18, 2009 at Brown Funeral Home in Mayfield. The Revs. Phillip Raley and Barry Raley will officiate, with burial to follow at Unity Baptist Church Cemetery. VIsitation will be held after 4 p.m. Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at Brown Funeral Home.

Rev. Raley died at 3:50 p.m. Monday, June 15, 2009 at his home.

He was a Baptist minister, preaching the gospel for 40 years and serving churches in Trigg and Graves counties. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Jo Ann Young Raley; four sons and three daughters-in-law, Lenn and Beth Ann Raley of Mt. Washington. Barry and Dawn Raley of Bowling Green. John Mark Raley of Houston, Texas, and Phillip and Jill Raley of Mayfield; one sister, Bernadeen Raley Warman of Greenville; and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Barbara Raley Johnson; and three brothers, Ja Raley, Jr., Billy Raley and Darrell Raley. His parents were Jay Raley and Willie Davis Raley Smith.
