Funeral services for Jerry Wayne Chambers, 63, of Cadiz, were conducted on Friday, December 5, 2008, at 2 p.m., at Goodwin Funeral Home.

Rev. Mark Choate officiated at the services. Burial followed in the New Jerusalem Cemetery in Trigg County.

Mr. Chambers died on Tuesday, December 2, 2008, at 8:25 p.m., at Shady Lawn Nursing Center in Cadiz of natural causes.

Mr. Chambers was born on May 7, 1945, in Arizona. He was the son of the late Jack and Edna Trimble Chambers.

Mr. Chambers was a member of Rock Front Baptist Church in Trigg County.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Crawford.

Survivors include his life companion, Beth Hills of Cadiz; son, Jeff Chambers of Cadiz; four daughters, Jerri D. Chambers of Cadiz, Delena Slavin of Nashville, Tenn., and Isis Chambers and Flavia Phillips, both of Evansville, Ind.; a sister, Kathy Crawford of Oregon; three step sons, Raymond J. Hills, III, and Richard Johnathon Hills, both of Peoria, Ill., and Randall Wayne Hills of Rome, Ill.; a step daughter, Candice Marie Henderson of East Peoria, Ill.; a brother, Larry Chambers Swensk of Tampa, Fla.; two step brothers, Joe Crawford and Robert Crawford, both of Seattle, Wash.; 20 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers were Jared Chambers, Robert Koney, Kevin Shelton, Nick Stapleton, Raymond Hills, and Richard Hills
