Funeral services for Jettie Wood Tyler, 85, of Eddyville, were conducted on Saturday, November 25, 2006, at 2 p.m., at Goodwin Funeral Home in Cadiz.

Revs. Jim Fortner and Richard Sexton officiated at the services. Burial followed in Dry Fork Cemetery in Lyon County.

Mrs. Tyler died on Tuesday, November 21, 2006, at 10:30 p.m., at Caldwell County Hospital in Princeton, of natural causes.

Mrs. Tyler was born on June 29, 1921, in Trigg County. She was the daughter of the late George Washington and Sallie Ethel Faughn Wood.

Mrs. Tyler was a homemaker, and a member of Bible Missionary Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death of her husband, Dallas Aaron Tyler; two sons, Gary Tyler and Robert Tyler; daughter, Bonnie Tyler; five brothers, Marion Willard Wood, Robert “Bud” Wood, Clarence Wood, Albert Wood, and George Lacy Wood; and three sisters, Beulah Faughn, Agnes Holland, and Mildred Boyd.

Survivors include two sons, Gayle Tyler and Scottie Tyler, both of Eddyville; two daughters, Glenda Sivells of Princeton and Sally Tyler of Eddyville; daughter-in-law, Mitzi Tyler of Fredonia; sister, Doshia Stephens of Cadiz; six grandchildren, Dennis Sivells, Darlene Forsythe, Charles Sivells, Melissa Faughn, Aaron Tyler, and Eric Tyler; nine great-grandchildren, Lindsey Cagle, Clint Sivells, Cabott Sivells, Tyler Forsythe, Kimberly Sivells, Micayla Faughn, MacKenzie Tyler, Madison Faughn, and Dallas Tyler; two great-great-grandchildren, Brylee Cagle and Addie Cagle.

Rev. Roy Marquess, Jr., vocalist, and Penny Mitchell, organist, provided the music.

Serving as pallbearers were Dennis Sivells, Charles Sivells, Aaron Tyler, Eric Tyler, Robert Forsythe, and Bryan Cagle.
