Mrs. Futrell died of natural causes in her home at 12:30 .m. Monday, October 25, 2010.
She was born Dec. 28, 1929 in Brisbane, Australia to the late Joseph Henry Dowling and Amelia Irene Town Dowling.
She was of the Catholic faith. She was a homemaker and worked for Avon as a salesperson. She volunteered with the and was the first Girl Scout troop leader for Troop 138, she was also a Cub Scout Leader as well as a 4-H Club Leader.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Irene Coward and one son, Joseph Futrell.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Walter Futrell of Cadiz; one sister, Rita Osborne of Toledo, Ohio; two sons, Richard Futrell (and wife Shirley) of Murray and Sean Futrell (and wife Carla) of Cadiz; two daughters, Debi Bland of Ottawa Lake, Mich. and Kathleen Haley (and husband John) of Borden, Ind.; twelve grandchildren, Ashley Coles of Mayfield, Ricky Futrell of Murray, Millie, Griffin and Maddie Futrell of Cadiz, Kelly Bland of Toledo, Ohio, Harmony Bland of Colorado Springs, Colo., Jesse Bland of Toledo, Ohio, Angela Narramore of Pocatello, Idaho, Jeffrey, Josh and Joey Mohler all of Murray; and four great grandchildren.
