John O. Eliker, 73, of Cadiz, died on Friday, June 20, 2008, at 5:35 p.m., at his residence following a long illness. There will be no services. Cremation was chosen.

King’s Funeral Home is in charge of all the arrangements.

Mr. Eliker was born on June 7, 1935, in Oxford, Neb. He was the son of the late Edwin Earl and Louise Anna Koebel Eliker.

Mr. Eliker was a U.S. Army veteran; was a truck driver; and he attended the Bush Bible Believers in Cadiz.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Eliker; a stepdaughter, Linda K. Phillips; three brothers, Adam C. Eliker, Harold “Jack” Eliker, and George Eliker; and a sister, Marjorie Eliker.

Survivors include two daughters, Sherry M. Eliker and Susan A.L. Shepherd, both of Lincoln, Neb.; a brother, Charlie Eliker of Neb.; two sisters, Annette C. Schorton of Lady Lake, Fla., and Thelma M. “Pat” Eliker of Neb.; three grandchildren, Cassie, Brittany and Allison Shepherd of Neb.; and Special Friends, Tommy and Donna Redd of Cadiz.
