The Trigg County Conservation District awards one Trigg County farmer with Cooperator of the Year recognition for meeting certain criteria for the conservation practices done on their farm.
Charles Jones has integrated sound, cost-effective and innovation conservation practices into his total farming operation. He has demonstrated to others how to better use and protect our soil and water resources.
Charles is owner and operator of his own 25-acre farm off the Princeton Road and operates another 70-acre farm in the county..
His conservation practices include critical area plantings, fencing, ponds, pipelines and watering facilities and continues to improve his operation as conservation concerns arise.
